My Approach

Finding a therapist with the right approach for you can make a world of difference for your healing journey. My approach to practice, or my personal style is:   

Compassionate and Positive

I provide an environment of compassion and bring an energy of calmness. I am authentic and supportive in my approach, and show up with a positive attitude.

Trauma Informed

This means I use my knowledge and expertise of trauma to influence how I interact with people. Some of the central tenants in this care are (1) Establishing emotional safety by going at your pace and starting with what you want to start with, (2) Working collaboratively and offering care that you are involved in and have choice over, and (3) Empowering your story. I’ll bring knowledge and perspective into our work, with an understanding that you are the expert in your life and your circumstances.

Integrative

I offer therapy types that support both short term and long term psychotherapy. I often bring in tools from different types of therapies so that I can tailor care to your needs. See “my credentials” tab to learn about the types of therapy that I integrate into practice.

Goal Oriented

Talking to me will feel conversational in nature. My general process is to create goals, identify limiting beliefs and circumstances, help create more supportive beliefs, and take steps towards those goals, to build a desired reality.
